Bennerley Site


The Bennerley Site supports pupils in KS3 and KS4 who have either been permanently excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. The focus of this site is to re-engage pupils back into education and provide pathway back into mainstream education.  Pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum which comprises of:

  • English

  • Maths

  • Science

  • ICT

  • Art

  • Geography

  • History

  • Design and Technology

  • PE

  • Outdoor Education

All pupils on this site work towards achieving functional skill qualifications in English, Maths and ICT. KS3 pupils work towards AQA certifications in a variety of topic and units of study from PSHE related topics like knife crime to outdoor education certifications in climbing.


KS4 pupils who attend this site are working from entry level 1 up to level 1 functional skills. KS4 pupils can achieve qualifications in:

  • AQA Functional skills qualifications in English, Maths and Science Entry Level 1 up to Level 1

  •  OCR entry level qualifications in Science, Geography, History, PE and Art and Design.


The site has excellent facilities to support learners achieve their potential whilst they are with us.

Staff are also learners and their professional curiosity drives improvements in teaching and learning for the pupils through purposeful learning in an engaging curriculum. 

At the Bennerley Site we expect students to have high expectations of themselves and others; we welcome and expect the support of family and friends and we share a commitment to work in partnership with parents and outside agencies.
