Welcome to the Sawley Site

The Sawley Site supports KS4 pupils who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education. We provide pupils with the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications as well as life skills to prepare them for the future and their next step. 

The curriculum comprises of various academic qualifications and vocational learning opportunities. GCSE qualifications on offer are:

  • Maths

  • English Language

  • English Literature

  • Geography

  • Art

  • Citizenship

Functional Skill qualifications on offer are:

  • Maths

  • English

  • ICT

Vocational courses on offer are:

  • Travel and Tourism

  • Vocational Studies

Further vocational learning opportunities are also available from local alternative provision providers and range from construction, motor mechanics, catering and hair and beauty. This list is not exhaustive.

 

Students have Personal, Social and Emotional development integrated throughout their timetable and form a key aspect of the curriculum.

Whilst at Sawley Support Centre all staff work hard to develop positive relationships with students and their families to help students benefit from the adults in their lives working together to support them. Students are encouraged to look ahead to the future and make the most of the opportunities that Sawley Site provides.

Through providing high quality teaching, coupled with a bespoke and varied timetable tailored to the needs of each individual, students leave ready to engage in their next step.
